Working Model is a 2D motion tool that allows you to draw objects (or import them in .dxf format from CAD, Illustrator, or Canvas), connect them with joints, and then click RUN. Working Model has automatic collision detection, an extensive set of input devices (e.g., sliders, buttons, input from Excel and Matlab) and outputs (graphs, meters, etc.), a picture and sound library for animation, and is just plain fun. Working Model is easy to use (it takes about 15 minutes to learn) and is relatively inexpensive (particularly for educators). It is limited to 2D and runs slower than real time when there hundreds of objects in the simulation. | |
