Biomed Town is a virtual collaborative environment for those with a professional or educational interest in biomedical research and technology. It consists of buildings, for hosting virtual organizations (i.e., research consortia, companies, institutions), and squares, the virtual meeting place for people to discuss and exchange experiences and pointers to resources. Some of the tools available to members include those for creating wikis, generating web content (Zope-Plone), creating and mangaging forums and mailing lists, and storing documents. Membership is free. | |
